Keep It Simple & Party Like A True American
NYE Bash At Tailgate Brewery
IF YOU LIKE:
Ron Swanson, craft beer, oak furniture, mustaches, concert dancing that doesn’t get out of hand, being friends with your bartender, getting in that happy place between a buzz and being a mess and staying there.
WHAT IT IS:
We’re talkin’ about a place where the beer flows like wine. Tailgate Brewery will live up to its craft beer name on NYE, bringing the local brews all night long. If Ron Swanson were to venture out to a NYE party (if you don’t know who that is, it is a mustachioed character played by Nick Offerman that loves steak, woodworking, and all things American) it would be this one. There are no neon tank tops in this crowd. The drink is beer, the music is awesome, and the crowd will be friendly. We’ve even got the inside scoop: get your EXCLUSIVE tickets in Wannado, y’all!

Dance Your 21st Century A** Off
Totally Rad: 3d NYE
IF YOU LIKE:
That time when Daft Punk won all the Grammys, Paint parties, when the beat drops, Katy Perry’s song “This Is How We Do”, hashtags, guys named “Mark”, dancing the night away
WHAT IT IS:
We’ve got a Wannado EXCLUSIVE.  VIP tickets for this shindig are killer (we have General Admission too). Greenhouse is a bar that actually looks like a greenhouse, and they always host insane themed NYE parties. This year’s theme is 3d, so it’s time to get futuristic (because we live in the future. It’s 2015. WHAT). With the VIP experience, you’ll have a private bar and lounge (with exclusive drink specials), private restrooms, free coat check, a 3D dance floor, and more. GA gets you on the dance floor though, killer, and we can’t wait to see those moves.

Gourmet Bites & Boot-Scootin’ Tunes
Jingle Boot Rock
IF YOU LIKE:
Line dancing, the drunk guy that always shouts out “PLAY FREEBIRD”, when people give toasts, foodie culture, old-school atmosphere, the steel guitar
WHAT IT IS:
The Sutler is hosting yet another awesome party to round out a year of cool events. Jingle Boot Rock is one part foodie dream, all parts PARTAY. Gourmet bites will be served by Chef Nick Seabergh (expect local favorites from the typical menu). There will be a champagne toast at midnight for all partygoers to close out 2014, and cover songs will be comin’ at ya from Wooly Bully and Zippy’s Clutch all night long. Get ready for that boot scootin’ boogie!

Start 2015 Off Right – With Drinking & A Breakfast Buffet
Fire Ball NYE 2014
IF YOU LIKE:
Pancakes, waffles, bacon, everything that is good, wacky photobooth pictures, parties that aren’t at a bar, wintry cocktails, DJs, courtesy shuffles, livin’ that yopro life
WHAT IT IS:
Yes, there will be a lot of things happening at Fire Ball, but what we mostly heard is BACON. This NYE party will have a breakfast buffet goin’ down at midnight to satisfy your late night cravings (and soak up those cocktails). A live band, DJ, heavy hor d’oeuvres, a photobooth from Generation Domination, and plenty of wintry cocktails to go around. All proceeds will benefit the W.O. Smith Community Music School and The Phoenix Club. Didn’t get in before tickets sold out? You can enter a bid for 2 tickets at this eBay auction. Good luck!

Have A Stellar Night Of Music
Moon Taxi
IF YOU LIKE:
Head-banging, flower crowns, indie rock, when dudes in bands play without shoes one, Nashville bands that have blown up, beard wax, white v-necks, Imogene + Willie jeans
WHAT IT IS:
If you want to steer clear of the bar scene this New Years Eve, NYE concerts are The New Black. This Tennessee band has hit the big time (yeah, they’ve performed on Fallon – it’s casual), and they’re playing a hometown show to close out 2014. War Memorial is a gorgeous auditorium, and a chill/wonderful place to be if you’re going to be downtown for New Years. Get ready to rock out, and if you don’t want parking to be a total nightmare, take a Lyft.

See The Music Note Drop
Jack Daniels Bash On Broadway: NYE In Music City
IF YOU LIKE:
Big crowds, living to tell an awesome story, watching big communal events with the rest of the world (think The Olympics or the Royal Wedding), honky tonks, festivity, other people, kazoos
WHAT IT IS:
Nashville’s biggest downtown celebration is breakin’ out the big guns this year. 38 performances and 5½ hours of music with the bi-coastal, televised celebration live from the Jack Daniel’s Bash on Broadway: New Year’s Eve in Music City in downtown Nashville on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2015.” Yes, ladies and gents, you will get to see Kathy Griffin make Anderson Cooper uncomfortable not in the privacy of your home, but in the company of Nashville’s finest. The music note drops at midnight! Get a Lyft, folks, and be ready to throw some elbows (in a kind way, of course). It’s going to be crowded (but totally worth it).

You’ll Be A Rhapsody In Blue
A Nashville Symphony New Year’s Eve
IF YOU LIKE:
The Great American Songbook, black and white films, gettin’ fancy, talking to your grandparents about their awesome life stories, Jane Austen, classical music, Renaissance paintings
WHAT IT IS:
Just the loveliest night ever. The Nashville Symphony knows how to get classy, and NYE is going to be one for the books. There will be vocalists and instrumentalists performing the hits of George and Ira Gershwin (yeah, you may have heard of them). You and your baby (or your platonic pal – we refuse to give in to NYE kiss pressure) can be waltzin’ to “I Got Rhythm”, “Rhapsody In Blue”, “Embraceable You” and more. There will also be some traditional Austrian waltzes, so get ready to pretend you’re Maria and Captain Von Trapp (so sorry, champ, things probably won’t stay platonic for long).

A Party With A Fireworks View
Acme New Year’s Eve
IF YOU LIKE:
Rooftop dance parties, changes of scenery, complimentary champagne, rollin’ like a big shot, wearing stilettos, sippin’ on gin and juice, girl’s or guy’s night out
WHAT IT IS:
Acme Feed & Seed has had a big year. They’ve brought local flavor to the downtown strip, and they’re bringing Nashville a VIP experience and a baller way to view the downtown fireworks. You’ll feel like Jay Z and Bey at the rooftop bar looking down at the crowded masses (though you’ll have sympathy of course – you aren’t a monster) as you sip your complimentary champagne with a comfortable arms-length distance between you and your closest partygoer. A dance floor, a 4 level venue, and live music all night long. Win win win! You can even see the music note drop at midnight. The event has been a top seller, so you’ll have to put your name on that waiting list and cross those fingers, y’all!

Mosh Till You Can’t No Mo
New Year’s Eve Party
IF YOU LIKE:
Not washing your hair, vintage band t-shirts, wearing Crocs ironically, mosh pits, punk rawk, Tim & Eric, dudes who play guitar, absurdism, vinyl, screaming at the top of your lungs
WHAT IT IS:
The dudes from Diarrhea Planet are insane…in all the best ways. If you’ve never been to one of their live shows, you can’t go another year without it. The Nashville band has gotten tons of national acclaim, and their concerts are dynamic and absurd – you will walk away with a story, guaranteed. The energy is through the roof, and we can’t think of a better way for a punk rawker to usher in the new year. Go for it.

Ya Got High Standards, Dollface
New Years Eve At The Standard
IF YOU LIKE:
The Great Gatsby, long strands of pearls, hair gel, sequins, old records, large parties (they’re so intimate), champagne, Prohibition-era cocktails, costume jewelry, porkpie hats
WHAT IT IS:
The golden age of prosperity – ahh, the 1920s. Nashville’s most historic downtown spot, The Standard (Andrew Jackson got married there) still stands, and it is hosting a party that will transport you back to yesteryear. Arrive in roaring 20s fashion and dance the night away – they’ll be teaching the Charleston. 1920s swing and blues will make the theme complete, and no 1920s party would feel right without complimentary champagne all night until midnight. A little party never hurt nobody!
_________________________________________________________________________
There you have it, Nashville. Head out to one of these parties and close out 2014 with a bang. Making New Year’s Resolutions? Get out in your city more – whether it’s volunteering, meeting new people, joining a yoga class, or hitting up more happy hours – Wannado has got you covered.
