SandBar Nashville, the outdoor volleyball court and bar, will not open this season.
Located at 3 City Avenue in Nashville, SandBar was expected to open on April 4th but due to COVID-19 that date was delayed.
Via Instagram, they shared, “We miss you friends. We miss making you drinks. We miss hearing the laughter. We miss everyone playing ball on our beach. We miss hearing stories about how your family is doing and hearing all the crazy things you have going on in your life. We miss being your favorite outdoor hangout spot. We miss giving your fur babies treats & celebrating their birthdays. We miss drilling holes in our coconuts & seeing your smile when we serve them to you. We miss getting ice cream daily at @kokosicecream, grabbing lunch at @eatavo, and seeing everyone have a great work out at @fullridecycling. We miss the staff @onec1ty. We miss our awkward tan lines we get from working behind our bar🙈. *”

With us not being allowed to open up until phase 3 & having no idea when that will be, we have been left in limbo. With all of the overhead cost it takes just to license and run a bar, having our season cut extremely short, and putting my staff at risk, I have decided that year 2020 is just not a good time for Sandbar to open. The risk is not worth it. *”
SandBar Nashville went on to assure patrons this is not a permanent closure.
