The 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition Awards drew the most awards across all the brands with two Double Gold, two Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze Medals. Walton’s Vodka and Davidson Reserve Tennessee Whisky both received the coveted Double Gold Medals. Pickers Original Vodka received an impressive Gold Medal as did Davidson Reserve Tennessee Whiskey Single Barrel. Davidson Reserve Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey received a Silver medal. Genesis Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Whisper Creek Original Tennessee Sipping Cream placed with exciting Bronze medals.
The 2020 Beverage Tasting Institute/Tastings.com Spirits Competition awarded Davidson Reserve two sought-after “Gold” medals. Davidson Reserve Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey (4-Grain) and Davidson Reserve Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey were both awarded Gold with a score of 91 points.
In addition, Davidson Reserve Tennessee Whiskey was awarded three medals in the 2020 SIP Awards International Spirits Competition. The Davidson Reserve Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey won a notable “Silver” medal and Davidson Reserve Four Grain Tennessee Straight Bourbon Whiskey earned a “Double Gold” medal as well as the coveted “Consumers Choice” medal.
The Davidson Reserve family, this long-awaited Tennessee Whiskey, which garnered 9 medals, is Nashville’s first locally distilled four-year-old Tennessee whiskey since Prohibition. Our Tennessee Straight Sour Mash Whiskey is made with a small amount of malt, allowing more flavor from the Tennessee-grown corn and rye to come through. It is distilled twice and filtered through virgin Tennessee sugar maple charcoal to provide extra smoothness and a perfect balance to the whiskey. Davidson Reserve ages their whiskey for a minimum of 4 years in 53-gallon barrels before bottling at 96 proof.
