Power Together Tennessee, a chapter of Women’s March, will hold a march on Saturday, October 17 in Nashville from 10 am – 3 pm.
This group is a women-led movement designed to bring together people of all genders, races, cultures, disabilities, and backgrounds to affirm our shared humanity and pronounce our bold message of inspiring one another to take greater action in civic engagement and support progressive issues.
The Nashville March will begin at Cumberland Park and will end at the unveiling of the Black Lives Matter mural on Woodland Street.
The public is invited to attend but asked to register in advance.
For those unable to attend the March in Nashville, a March will take place in LaVergne from 8 a – 3:30 pm. The route will begin in Veterans Memorial Park as part of the Old Timers Festival.

The purpose of the March as described by the group states, “We are marching to demand a better world for all of us, including the expansion of the electorate; increasing civic engagement; encouraging early voting; and connecting individuals to organizations that can help transform Tennessee.”
