You may think you have experienced everything a DJ has to offer. After all, you’ve YMCA’ed at no fewer than 40 weddings. You’ve dropped it like it’s hot in the club in your younger years (assuming you remember some of those years.) You’ve wondered what the heck is behind Daft Punk’s masks.

But OZ Arts is ready to show you a DJ experience like none other. With their presentation of Kid Koala’s Satellite, you and your group will join an orchestra of turntable-table-equipped participants. This DJ show with a communal twist  will change the way you think about music and how we create it.

Now Toronto calls this performance “…spontaneous, emotional, interactive and completely live.” And it’s easy to see why this event has such depth. Kid Koala is a world-renowned scratch DJ, music producer and award-winning graphic novelist. With that variety of experience and multimedia integration, this show is an unforgettable feast for the senses.

Be Part of the Show

Ever heard the term “Turntable Orchestra”? This isn’t something to download and rock out to in your Prius, it is a physical experience. Don’t show up and think you’re just the audience, your participation is key to achieving the the dreamy, melodic sound that is the star of this interactive show.

You’ll be seated at a table for four equipped with a turntable, effects box and a small crate of color-coded vinyl records. Then you’ll follow cues of the ambient lighting to play along.

The goal? 50 harmonized turntables creating an uplifting and dynamic evening of light and music. Sorry, but nothing about your clubbin’ days prepared you for this experience. And we promise you’ll remember this when you get home.
