Standard Proof Whiskey Co Tasting Room Opens

-

Standard Proof Whiskey Co. announced the grand opening of its first-ever Tasting Room and retail space. Guests can enjoy tasting flights and unique cocktails, all featuring Standard Proof’s signature infused whiskey expressions: Red Eye Rye (coffee infusion), Ginger Rye, Wildflower Rye (honeysuckle infusion), Emerald Rye (fresh mint infusion), Golden Rye (pineapple infusion) and Texas Pecan Rye. Following the city’s health and safety guidelines, bar capacity will be limited to 25 patrons and masks upon entering will be enforced.

“Like many in the hospitality industry, we’ve faced a challenging year – but we could not be more excited to move forward and finally open the Tasting Room,” says CEO Bob Angus. “Our bar offers guests a safe, relaxing place to escape the madness for a minute, in a setting that’s unique to downtown. Everything we serve is bottled on site, so the infusions you’re sipping on are unique, too. Once you decide which infusion is your favorite, you can take home a souvenir bottle to enjoy later. We can’t wait to pour a drink for you soon.”

The Tasting Room is located on 5th Avenue North, next to Woolworth on Fifth, and offers an ample 3000 sq. ft. space that will comfortably host almost 300 guests when allowed full capacity. Perfect for those looking to explore the world of infused whiskey and enjoy elevated whiskey cocktails in a sophisticated atmosphere, the bar mixes old with new, featuring custom neon signs, art by local photographer Yve Assad and local artist Alic Daniel, and many elements original to the building – first known as the Armstrong Corset Factory, dating back to the early 1900s – like hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and decorative fireplaces.

Shop while you sip, and browse Standard Proof’s merchandise including signature infusions for purchase, all of which are bottled on-site, cocktail kits, ice cube molds, bandanas and an exclusive Red Eye Rye expression aged in Arrington Vineyards wine barrels for two years (limited availability). Also available at the Tasting Room is Standard Proof’s “Support Your Local Bartender” t-shirt. Profits from each shirt sold are donated to Nashville’s United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) chapter to support local hospitality workers, and out-of-town visitors can share their own zip code as well, sending donations to a chapter local to their home.

“We wouldn’t be here today without the support of the hospitality community,” says Creative Director Robert Longhurst. “The donations to USBG are just one way we give back, and we’re looking forward to becoming even more involved with our hospitality friends and family now that our doors are open.”
