As a native Nashvillian, I’ve had one lifelong complaint: We’re landlocked and too far from the water! While that may be true if you’re looking for the ocean breeze, palm trees and sandy beaches, I had no idea how close I was to a whole lot of water fun (and relaxation) right in our backyard. My family and I found Sweetwater Pontoon Rentals, located at Creekwood Marina in Hendersonville, and decided to give it a try for a Father’s Day outing. My Dad loves the water and we thought this could be a big win! Spoiler: Huge win! For the whole family!
First of all, it’s easy. We showed up to Creekwood Marina and stepped right onto the boat with nothing but our swimsuits, towels and a cooler. I could not believe how spacious these pontoons are. Katie, who pushed us off from the dock, said they’re all 2018’s and fit 10 people per boat. They’re beauties, that’s for sure! We left around 10am and spent seven glorious hours on Old Hickory Lake. We enjoyed cruising, chilling, and a little exploring! We found a cove with a cold water spring complete turtles and a rope swing which my husband had to try.
Of course, the best part of our day on the lake with Sweetwater Pontoon Rentals was the quality time with my favorite people! In addition to a family outing, there are many ways to enjoy a day on the lake.. a day out with friends, colleagues, church group, bachelorette parties, and the list goes on. One thing’s for sure: Sweetwater Pontoon Rentals is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer in Nashville. It’s like a mini-vacation without leaving middle Tennessee. The folks at Sweetwater Pontoon told me the weekends fill up quickly (as you could imagine) but they have plenty of availability during the week.
