Happy New Year, Nashville! Eating healthy is one of the most common New Year’s Resolutions and we want to help you with you goal! We rounded up the Top 20 Healthiest Restaurants in Nashville that are not only resolution-friendly but DELISH!
Avo, short for avocado, is one of the trendiest plant-based restaurants in town. Located in Charlotte Pike’s OneC1ty Complex, it’s impossible to miss thanks to the huge avocado mural on its’ building. Their vegan menu is as fresh (and delicious) as it gets. Our personal favorites? The Veggie Burger and the Kimchi Spring Rolls.
The philosophy at True Food Kitchen is that food should make you feel better, not worse, and boy do they practice what they preach! Their menu is packed with flavor and healthy ingredients. We’re particularly fond of their Inside Out Quinoa Burger (pictured above) with layers on all the freshest vegetarian fixings. Can you say YUM?
“What’s a Rush Bowl?” Well, it’s a bowl of deliciousness packed with all kinds of fruits, acai, granola and other healthy ingredients. They’re perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack or dessert. The Dragon Bowl (pictured above) is one of our favorites.. acai topped with crunchy granola, fresh blueberries and strawberries, & a drizzle of honey. It puts the good in good morning!
After feasting on Veggie Burgers or Kimchi Spring Rolls at Avo, head next door to Koko’s Ice Cream! This place is Nashville’s only locally-made, dairy/nut free, artisan ice cream company that’s 100% plant-based! Koko’s just recently opened and we’re pretty sure this is going to be our new favorite spot to cool off this summer.
The Urban Juicer is one of our all time favorites which explains why there are five Nashville locations. We can’t get enough of their juices! You can order one of their delicious blends off the menu or they’ll create a custom juice on the spot. They’re also known for their one and three-day cleanses if you’re looking for a detox.
Vui’s Kitchen is PHO REAL one of the hidden gems in Nashville. It’s a fresh Vietnamese restaurant offering traditional meals like Pho Noodle Soup. We also love their Pork Belly Bao Bun, Summer Rolls and the Original Banh Mi Sandwich.
If you’re looking for a tasty vegan or vegetarian meal on the East side, The Wild Cow is your place! We have an unhealthy obsession with their food. From sandwiches to tacos to entree bowls, it’s all so. so. good. The vegan sauces take everything on their menu to the next level. Tasty and healthy! You can also get kombucha here as well as treats from Vegan Vee.
Around the corner from Wild Cow is East Nashville’s plant-based bistro and bar, Graze. This place is similar to the Wild Cow except 100% vegan. This place is easy-going and offers some delish options including their Gluten-Free Chickpea Pineapple Kale Soup (pictured above). Mmm.
A Nashville staple that serves healthy and delicious vegetarian options. This quaint restaurant in Berry Hill is known for its’ gourmet veggie burgers (pictured above), vegan barbecue. Their entire menu is vegan although you can request the addition of real dairy cheese to your meal.
Nashville’s only full service, locally-owned natural foods store. We love shopping here but we also love their ready to eat food! They offer a salad bar, hot bar (with themed flavors for each day of the week), daily soups, juice bar, and more! It’s a perfect spot to grab quick lunch, snack or dinner!
From juices to açaí bowls, Franklin Juice Company is a go-to for a midday pick-me-up to a delicious breakfast or lunch. We love visiting their 12 South location but you can now get it delivered for FREE! They’ve partnered with Juice Nashville to make this possible.. YASSS!
If you’re looking for a healthy and delicious option for a date night out, Henrietta Red is the spot. This American restaurant and oyster bar is owned by a Nashville-native chef and her business partner. Henrietta Red offers some incredible seafood options which can be hard to come by in landlocked Nashville. We highly recommend the Grouper and Red Snapper.
Box is a quick and easy go-to for breakfast and lunch. You can get your coffee fill thanks to a full Bongo Java Bar. They’ve got an on-site bakery to make all your pastry dreams a reality. We also love their other menu items such as their popular Avocado Toast (pictured above) that is almost too beautiful to eat. Although you must eat it. Mmm.
Epice is a family-owned Lebanese restaurant in Nashville. It’s an EPIC date night out. We recommend starting your meal with hummus or falafel then move on to any of the entrees. You can’t go wrong although many love the grilled lamb tenderloin (pictured above).
The Southern V may not seem healthy by the looks of the above picture but they use healthy, good quality ingredients. Plus, you gotta live a little, right? Above is their famous Hot Chick’n on a Biscuit and Chick’n and Waffles. YES.
Talk about a quick lunch! Grabbagreen lives up to it’s name as it’s a fast and easy option for lunch. They’ve got a humongous menu that’s packed full of options from smoothies to juices to wraps to bowls.
Vegan Vee is a treasure in Sylvan Park. A gluten-free bakery that specializes in beautiful and delicious treats. You can visit them in store although you may want to check the hours before stopping by. While you’re there, be sure to get a photo of the “Facebook Like” Mural on the side of the building. It’s sure to get you lots of “likes”.
We love Juice Bar as much as we love their juice.. smoothies.. and their açaí bowls.. and everything else on their menu. That’s why there are five Nashville locations and 11 middle Tennessee locations overall.
The Food Company caters but they’ve also got a small shop to stop in for lunch. They serve mostly sandwiches and grab-and-go meals. All of their sandwiches come with one side and you can also substitute the bread for a gluten-free wrap. Quick, easy and yummy.
Here you’ll find vegan fare as well as massages and holistic treatments. Whatever you choose, you’ll leave feeling healthier.
