Since 2010, the Ascension Saint Thomas Foundation’s annual Rock the Cradle fundraiser has paired country music with support of the Beaman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown. With a unique virtual format, this year’s event on Wednesday, November 18, at 6 PM will be headlined by singer-songwriters Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, and 2020 CMA award winner Carly Pearce. The 2020 Rock the Cradle musical event will be broadcast for free to all 8,000-plus Ascension Saint Thomas employees in recognition of the enormous sacrifice of our healthcare heroes. In another first, the Ascension Saint Thomas Foundation also invites all interested community members to join this night of socially-distanced fun and music for free.
2020 presenting sponsors are The Beaman Family Foundation, Advanced Health, and the physicians of Premier Radiology. Though no donations are required to attend the virtual event, 100 percent of funds raised will support the personal needs of uninsured or underinsured patients; provide specialized training for our NICU nurses; and elevate technology in the NICU.
The brainchild of music industry veterans Connie Bradley and Troy Tomlinson, Rock the Cradle has raised more than $1.5 million for obstetrics care over the past decade. Through this event and other philanthropic generosity, the Ascension Saint Thomas Foundation supports both the strategic priorities of Maternal Infant Services and the individual needs of families and babies.
