Friday Favorites: West End Coffee, Workspace, & Wedges

-

IT’S FRIDAY, FRIDAY, GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY.

Excited-GIF

And get down we shall. Whether your weekend plans include swaying to the chill sounds of Ray Lamontagne, doing the running man and taking jello shots at the Vanilla Ice and Coolio show, taking the fam to the Nashville Shores “Dive In” movies, or gettin’ weird at the Hot Chicken and Jorts Festival (or, you know, something else – which you can find in Wannado), it’s gonna be a great one y’all. We’ve got mild summer weather, a song in our hearts, and the wind whippin’ through our hair. It’s time to celebrate this stunning city of ours once again, and all the awesome people and places that make it special. Here’s this week’s edition of Friday Favorites:

Atmalogy

“My favorite thing right now in Nashville…Atmalogy! When I enter Atmalogy on West End, I instantly feel at ease with the calming music, soothing wall colors, and laidback employees. Atmalogy is a coffee shop doing it right, selling products such as fresh juices, chia seed oatmeal, and Kombucha tea, introducing customers to items other than your typical coffee shop expectations of warm coffee and muffins to go. What I love most about this place is the  front sitting room. It’s filled with an array of huge throw pillows (no seats in this room) and opens up to giant windows bringing in awesome natural sunlight. It’s an entire new way to work in a coffee shop – on the ground and I can’t get enough!”

Center 615

“Some people go to work.  Others go on vacation.  Then there are those that go to Center 615, a pleasant blend of the two.  Garnished with signature accents like the glowing wall of heads or the cosmic parallelogram LED structure visible from Main St. at night, Center 615 offers individuals a co working environment that can’t be beat.   At the same time businesses like Turnip Truck call Center 615 home because of the many conference rooms, modern decor and office spaces to accommodate larger companies.  Don’t be a stranger.  Stop on by and get a tour and find out why the waiting list is longer than the lines at hot chicken fest.”

Pedal Tavern

“What is hot currently this summer that can bring a cool breeze while having fun with friends on a beautiful Friday in Nashville? The Pedal Tavern downtown Nashville is one of my favorite things to do right now with a big group of friends. The Nashville Pedal Tavern is THE thing to do for a Bachelor, Bachelorette party, or really any event you want it to be. What is better than a little cycling and boozing on a sunny day in Nashville? They provide hookups to play your favorite music as well as ice, cups, and a cooler. All you need is to be ready for is the #redlightsocial (party at the red lights, obviously). Bring your favorite booze and enjoy the cruise around Downtown or Music Row. This ride has been the highlight of summer so far. It is a must-do! ”

CreativeMornings

Justin Levenson, Director Of Licensing Operations at SESAC

Screen Shot 2014-07-25 at 11.24.49 AM

“A few Friday mornings ago, I walked down the street from my SoBro condo headed for the unknown thanks to an invite from an awesome friend…don’t worry, I wasn’t headed anywhere dangerous…I was headed to my first Creative Mornings event!  In their own words “CreativeMornings is a breakfast lecture series for the creative community.”  Every month has a theme and this month’s theme “minimal”, was being discussed at the Nashville Civic Design Center.  I am so glad I went!  I met some great new people, saw a new side of Nashville, had some awesome coffee and most importantly for me I “stepped outside” my norm…and it felt great!  Check out http://creativemornings.com/cities/nsh for more information about future events…including this Friday’s lecture about Hatch Show Print.”
