615Chutney
The South Indian food truck we’ve been stalking for the last five months, 615Chutney, is now a brick and mortar! 615Chutney opened its’ doors on May 28th in the former location of Rumors East in the Five Points area of East Nashville. The food truck will continue serving up those delicious vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free Indian dishes we love but the restaurant will also offer some amazing, authentic meat dishes. We’ve been wishing for an awesome Indian restaurant on the east side for quite some time so this is a perfect addition!

Their cookie dough is egg-free and served up almost like ice cream. And it’s divine. You can even buy them the cookie dough by the pint.

Chopper
If you’re looking for a creative spot for cocktails, you might want to check out the brand new tiki bar with a robot theme, Chopper. The tiki bar, which opened on May 31st, has a huge golden robot hanging overhead in the center of the space. There are also plenty of colorful booths surrounding the room with all kinds of fun and funky decor. All of their drinks are served in unique tiki glasses that are totally Instagrammable.

Virago’s New Location
Virago, a Nashville staple, has a new home in the Gulch just a few doors down from its’ previous location! This wildly popular sushi and Asian-centric restaurant was the first opened by M Street founder, Chris Hyndman, back in 2000. Luckily, it’s not going away and it’s not going far. Virago re-opened on May 21st in the former location of The Rosewall. Hyndman will be opening two new concepts in the former Virago location (and we can’t wait for details!).

Emmy Squared
If you’re in Green Hills and in the mood for pizza, bring your cravings over to the new restaurant, Emmy Squared! This second Nashville location opened last month near the Mall at Green Hills and offers those Detroit-inspired square pizzas we know and love. If you’re closer to the Gulch when a craving hits, check out the first Emmy Squared location on 12th Avenue South next to The Station Inn.
