A trip is planned for Thursday, June 13 to Big Whisker’s Catfish Farm. Located in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Big Whisker’s Catfish Farm is home to a large stocked fishing pond open to the public. No gear, bait or license will be necessary. Join us on this fishing trip and you might just catch the monster catfish of the day. A lunch (Dutch treat) of burgers, fries and other concessions will be served. The cost of the outing is $30. The group will depart the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave., Franklin at 10:00 a.m. and return at 3:30. Registration is at www.wcparksandrec.com. Registration code #14742.
A trip is planned for Friday, June 14 to Grinder’s Switch Winery in Hickman County, Tennessee. This family-owned winery is a producer of fine wines with local flavor, defined with Southern charm and sophisticated taste. Lunch (Dutch treat) will be at the Pinewood Kitchen and Mercantile, a farm to table cafe located in a vintage gas station with something for everyone to enjoy. Cost of the trip is $20. The group will depart the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr., Spring Hill at 9:45 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m. Registration opens on May 13 at www.wcparksandrec.com.
